This Privacy Policy is the document that demonstrates Petgenda's commitment to the privacy and security of information. In this policy, we describe how your personal data is collected, used, shared, and stored.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR MINORS UNDER 18
Petgenda prohibits minors under 18 from registering on the Platform.
1. Glossary
Anonymization: Use of reasonable technical means available at the time of Processing, through which data loses the possibility of association, direct or indirect, with an individual.
Cookies: Small files sent by websites, saved on your device, that store preferences and few other pieces of information, with the purpose of personalizing your navigation according to your profile.
Personal Data: All information related to an identified or identifiable natural person. For example: name, address, email, IP address, geolocation, credit card number, etc.
Data Protection Officer (DPO): Person appointed by us to act as a communication channel between Petgenda, you, and the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
IP Address: Abbreviation for Internet Protocol. It is the alphanumeric set that identifies Users' devices on the Internet.
LGPD: General Personal Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais) – Law No. 13,709/18, which provides for the processing of personal data in digital or non-digital media. This is the primary regulatory framework for data protection in Brazil, where Petgenda is headquartered.
Personal data subject: The physical person to whom the personal data refers; in the case of this Policy, the subject is you.
Processing: Every operation performed with personal data, such as collection, production, reception, classification, use, access, reproduction, transmission, distribution, processing, filing, storage, elimination, evaluation or control of information, modification, communication, transfer, dissemination, or extraction.
2. What personal data do we collect about you?
2.1 Personal data provided voluntarily by the subject
Full name, email, phone number, address, ZIP code, password, payment data, and personal preferences.
2.2 Personal data we collect automatically
IP address, information about the access device (e.g., model, manufacturer, operating system), information about the internet browser, duration of the visit, pages visited, content you interacted with, cookies, purchase history, products searched for, selected, or added to the cart.
2.3 Personal data we receive from third parties:
We may also receive personal data from third-party services that you decide to share with us.
3. Why do we collect personal data?
We use your personal data for various purposes in our services:
To allow the user access to certain platform content, exclusive to registered users.
To fulfill obligations arising from the use of our services.
To send news, promotions, and advertising communications via email (newsletter).
To serve personalized or non-personalized advertising on the Internet.
To allow our communication with you, fulfill your requests, and answer your questions and complaints.
To implement appropriate security measures to safeguard you and our Application.
To correct any technical problems found in our application.
To comply with our legal obligation to maintain your access records (logs) while navigating the Application.
Many of our services depend directly on some of the personal data reported above, mainly personal data related to registration. If you choose not to provide some of this registration personal data, we may be unable to provide our services in their entirety.
Petgenda does not process personal data in an illegal manner or contrary to applicable law.
4. How to use cookies?
Cookies serve to enhance your experience, both in terms of performance and usability, since the content made available will be directed to your needs and expectations.
They can also be used to perform anonymous and aggregated statistics that allow us to understand how you use the site, as well as to improve its structure and content. Because they are anonymous statistics, it is not possible to identify you personally through this data.
5. How do we share personal data?
We may share personal data with third parties, preserving your privacy as much as possible and, whenever possible, in an anonymized way.
Below, we describe situations in which we may share personal data:
Internally, with our business areas, to send advertising, promote, and develop our services and products, for example.
With our suppliers and commercial partners, with whom we establish contractual obligations for security and protection of personal data. Suppliers include advertising and marketing tools; logistics companies, and payment means companies, for example.
With public authorities, whenever there is a legal determination, request, requisition, or court order to that effect.
6. Your rights and how to exercise them:
The LGPD guarantees you, as the personal data subject, the following rights:
Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we have about you.
Anonymization, blocking, or elimination: The possibility of requesting the anonymization of personal data; blocking, temporarily suspending processing, and elimination, in which case we will delete all personal data, except in cases where the law requires its maintenance.
Confirmation of processing: The right to confirm whether Petgenda processes any of your personal data.
Correction: The right to correct any outdated, incomplete, or incorrect personal data. You can correct some of your personal data in the "My Account" area.
Information about sharing: The right to know with which public and private entities Petgenda shares your personal data.
Opposition: You can object to processing activities that do not depend on consent. In this case, it is possible to request their interruption.
Portability: Your right to request that Petgenda provide personal data for transfer to another company in the same field of activity as ours. Likewise, you can ask other companies to send your personal data to Petgenda.
Revocation of consent and information about its consequences: You have the right not to give or to withdraw your consent and obtain information about the consequences of that choice. In this case, some of the services cannot be provided.

To be able to provide all clarifications and enable the exercise of rights, as the case may be, you must: (i) identify yourself appropriately and (ii) inform the right you would like to exercise.
We commit to responding to all requests within a reasonable time and always in compliance with applicable legislation.
7. How we store personal data:
Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the defined purposes, unless there is another reason for its maintenance such as compliance with legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations and preservation of rights, provided they are duly grounded in current legislation.
Once the maintenance period and legal necessity have ended, personal data will be deleted using safe disposal methods or used in an anonymized way for statistical purposes.
8. Confidentiality and security:
You are also responsible for the confidentiality of your personal data and should always be aware that sharing passwords can compromise the security of your personal data.
It is very important that you protect yourself against unauthorized access to your computer or account, in addition to making sure to always click "exit" when ending your navigation on a shared computer.
Internally, collected personal data is accessed only by authorized professionals, respecting the principles of proportionality, necessity, and relevance, in addition to the commitment to confidentiality and preservation of privacy.
All your personal data will be kept according to strict security and confidentiality standards.
To safeguard privacy and protect your personal data, Petgenda has a governance program containing rules of good practices, policies, and internal procedures, which establish conditions of organization and mechanisms for supervision and mitigation of risks related to the processing of personal data.
Payment transactions are executed under security and encryption protocols (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL) ensuring that personal data, including credit card data, is not unlawfully disclosed to third parties.
During navigation in our Application, you may be led, via link, to third-party sites, which may collect your information and have their own privacy policies. We recommend that you read the privacy policies of such sites, as it is your responsibility to accept or reject them.
Petgenda is not responsible for the privacy policies, content, or services of third-party sites.

We work on constant improvements to enhance our services, products, content, and navigation, ensuring a better experience.
You acknowledge Petgenda's right to change the content of this Policy at any time. If substantial changes occur in this document, you will be properly informed.
If any point of this Policy is considered inapplicable, the remaining conditions will remain in full force and effect.
This Policy will be interpreted according to Brazilian legislation, in the English language (translated for convenience from the original Portuguese), with the court of your domicile elected to resolve any controversy involving this document, except for specific reservations of personal, territorial, or functional competence by applicable legislation.
